Modern Slavery Statement
Purpose of this statement
This statement is made on behalf of Lowe Corporation and the entities that they own or control
pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the Act)
How We Define Modern Slavery
Slavery, child labour and human trafficking are serious crimes and a violation of fundamental human
rights. There are various forms of ‘Modern Slavery’ which deprives victims of their liberty and
usually involves financial exploitation.
We conduct our business fairly, ethically and with respect to fundamental human rights. We are fully
committed to the prevention of all forms of slavery, forced labour or servitude, child labour and
human trafficking, both in our business and in our supply chains. We will not tolerate it.
We have appropriate policies in place to ensure that any suspicions of Modern Slavery or human-
trafficking within our business or supply chains can be immediately reported without any fear of
detrimental treatment.
Preventing Slavery and Human-Trafficking In Our Business
We make appropriate checks on all employees, recruitment agencies and suppliers, to ensure we
know who is working for us, or on behalf of us. We provide every employee with a written contract
of employment and pay every employee in accordance with the law. We comply with our legal
obligations to ensure the health and safety of all of our employees and workers, including in relation
to working hours, rest breaks and holidays. All managers are provided with training on this policy.
Our Suppliers
We have a number of policies and procedures in place to mitigate the risk of human slavery and
human trafficking within any of our supply chains. If any supplier is deemed to have breached our
policies or are found to have slavery or human trafficking within their business, or knowingly within
their supply chain, we will terminate our contract with them and may pursue legal remedies against
them.
